Barclays Annual Trading Places Award is looking for men and women who have been successful in business in the face of adversity. The award is open to anyone who is resident in the UK and is running a business that is trading and registered in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Ireland.

If you (or someone you know) started a business after being made redundant, diagnosed with a long-term illness or faced any other adversity then the judges want to hear your story. There are great prizes to be won, including business advice, cash and of course there’s the invaluable publicity you will receive at a local and national level.

Steve Cooper, Managing Director, Barclays Business:

Trading Places is a celebration of men and women who, in spite of great personal challenges, have taken steps to establish a sustainable business and in doing so changed the direction of their lives for the better.”

Closing date for entries is July 16th 2010, with the top 100 advised by end of August
